Just a couple of months before, Apple Inc. had released a new variant of its 15 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display laptop. Sadly the new variant was kind of the same as the last gen model that it was supposed to replace, however, with very minor upgrades such as a bigger battery, better graphics processor and also replaced the traditional trackpad with Apple's new Force Touch trackpad.

Even though the latest generation 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro is a disappointment to most of us, because of the internals which were largely not updated, we had hopes that Apple would bring back the 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro with much powerful hardware this year, and most of us were impatiently waiting for it. However, it seems like, again we will be disappointed by Apple this year too.

As per recent leaks, it was shown that Intel will be providing updated processors that will be supporting the updated 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops by this fall. However, today an article published in a popular website CPU World suggests that the next gen Intel plans to release its next Intel H series of processors with Intel HD 530 graphics engine by October of this year. And this is the same Intel H series processor that we expected to get featured in the upcoming next generation of MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

The Intel 530 Graphics engine will feature the Intel GT2 integrated graphics processor, which is a lower end graphics processor. The current MacBook Pro features Intel's GT3e graphics processor, which is a higher end graphics processor.

Therefore, if you were planning to sell your MacBook and get yourself an whole new 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro if it gets released by the end of this year, then you are probably out of luck. However, everything is not bad news. If Intel is able to get their Intel H series of processors out either by September or October of this year, then we might be getting an update to the existing MacBook Pro by the Q1 of 2016, which is not that far to wait for anyway.

However, the next MacBook Pro with Retina Display is surely going to face some stiff competition from manufacturers who manufacture Windows based laptops and will include the Intel GT2 graphics processors. But the competition is not expected to turn down the anticipation for the next generation upcoming MacBook Pro with Retina Display, as such delays has even ocurred in the past as well.

And latest sales statistics also reveal that Apple's Mac sales has increased in the second quarter of 2015 even though the general sales trend of laptop sales have been decreasing, despite of the fact that Apple was not selling the computers based on Broadwell. Therefore, there is an always running anticipation for latest Mac machines.

What do you feel about the delay in the release of the next gen upcoming MacBook Pro with Retina Display? Will you be waiting for it to release, mostly by the Q1 of 2016, or would you opt for a competitive notebook running Windows OS?
